Referrals and Ambassador Program

GrimFolio has a built-in referral program. Share your unique link and earn recurring token credits for every paying member who signs up through it. Bring in enough paying members and your Pro access upgrades automatically — no codes to redeem, no forms to fill out. It happens on its own.

Finding the Referrals Tab

Open Account Settings from any screen. Navigate to the Referrals tab in the sidebar. It is labeled with a diamond icon.

If you already have a referral code your unique link appears in a read-only input field. Click Copy to copy it to the clipboard. The button briefly confirms the copy.

If you do not have a code yet click Generate Link. A code is created and the link appears immediately.

Share the link anywhere — publicly in a post, directly to a colleague, in a forum signature. Anyone who signs up through your link is attributed to you.

How Rewards Work

Every paying member who signs up through your link earns you a recurring credit toward GrimChat tokens each month. The reward continues for as long as they remain on a paid plan. It is tied to their continued subscription, not a one-time payment.

Bring enough paying members and your account upgrades to Pro automatically. That upgrade stays active as long as the qualifying referrals do.

The Pro upgrade from referrals is automatic and conditional. If referred members cancel their paid plans your account may step back down. The upgrade is not permanent — it reflects your active referral count at any given time.

Ambassador Status

Some accounts carry Ambassador status. If your account has Ambassador status a crystal G badge and the Ambassador label appear at the top of the Referrals tab alongside your referral link.

Ambassador status is distinct from being a standard referral participant. It represents a deeper relationship with GrimFolio and carries enhanced rewards.

Founder Status

Founder status is granted to the first 100 paid members on the platform. Founders receive 20% off their subscription forever and a gold G badge that appears in their account and on the Grim avatar if enabled in Appearance settings.

If your account is both a Founder and an Ambassador both badges appear together at the top of the Referrals tab.

The Founder offer is closed. The first 100 paid members have been claimed. Founder status cannot be earned after the fact.

Referral Stats

Once you have a referral code a stats panel appears below your link.

Stat What it shows
Total Signups How many accounts were created through your link.
Paid Plans How many of those accounts are on a paid plan.
Tokens Earned Your cumulative token earnings from referrals.

A conversion list below the stats shows each paying referral with their plan type and conversion date.
